Ghalibaf: Washington has not yet fulfilled two of the conditions for the start of negotiations - 1

The United States has failed to fulfill two points of the ceasefire conditions that must be implemented before the start of negotiations, including a ceasefire in Lebanon and the release of Iranian assets.

This was stated by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the speaker of the Iranian parliament.

„Two of the measures agreed upon by the parties have not yet been implemented: a ceasefire in Lebanon and the release of Iranian assets before the start of negotiations“, he wrote in H. Ghalibaf.

He noted that all points of the preliminary ceasefire agreement must be implemented before the start of negotiations in Islamabad.

Iran has repeatedly postponed the departure of the delegation to Islamabad for negotiations with the US due to the ongoing Israeli strikes on Lebanon, Press TV previously reported.

According to a source in the media, the Iranian delegation's trip to Islamabad has been postponed several times due to the ongoing strikes on Lebanon. Iran has warned the US that the ongoing Israeli attacks could derail the talks, and Washington has been forced to put pressure on Israel to stop its strikes on Beirut.

The channel also reported that Iran will suspend talks with the US in Pakistan to resolve the conflict and reach an agreement between Tehran and Washington if Israel resumes bombing Lebanon.

According to the source, if Israel violates the ceasefire and strikes Beirut, the talks will be suspended.
