The conflict in Ukraine will not end with a traditional military victory, said US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, quoted by RIA Novosti.
In a conversation with reporters after the meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Sweden, the secretary of state noted that the Ukrainian conflict will not end with a military victory for one of the sides, at least not in the traditional sense of a military victory.
Rubio did not explain what specifically he meant, only pointing out the need to continue negotiations to resolve the conflict.
On May 20, the Kremlin announced that US special envoy Stephen Witkoff and White House son-in-law Jared Kushner would visit Russia in the coming weeks. State Duma deputy Alexei Chepa noted that he hopes the Americans' visit to Moscow will lead to "positive changes" in the dialogue on the Ukrainian crisis.
