“As I said on Sunday – the elections are over, but our work continues“. This was stated by the Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Georgi Kandev on Facebook.
“Anyone who traded with the people's vote will be sought out, investigated and brought to justice. There is no statute of limitations for undermining democracy!
I will continue to keep you informed about the cases we are working on, related to election crimes – and no longer concealing parties and coalitions, as the law obliged us to in the election campaign.
On election day, we received a signal from the village of Konyavo, Kyustendil municipality.
A man offered 30 euros to residents of the village to vote for political party No. 17 on the ballot, with preference 101. The man was identified, brought in as a defendant and detained for a period of 72 hours.
A pre-trial investigation has been initiated. The work on the case continues“, concluded Kandev.
