Two people died and at least 16 were injured after a bus, which started in reverse on its own, hit them near the Malko Tarnovo border checkpoint, Nova TV reported.
The report of the incident, which occurred on the Burgas - Malko Tarnovo road in the direction of Turkey, was received at 07.05 on Wednesday. According to the list, the bus with Ukrainian registration had 37 passengers and two drivers, all of them Ukrainian citizens.
According to initial information, the vehicle broke down after running out of fuel. The passengers were disembarked, but a little later the bus suddenly moved and crashed into the people standing behind it.
The vehicle then overturned into a roadside ditch. All passengers and the driver who were inside were pulled out.
Six of the injured were transported to health facilities in Burgas, and another ten to the Emergency Center in Malko Tarnovo.
