Bozhidar Bozhanov: We are an opposition, not a loudmouth, not a petty one, but one that tries to keep things on the right track

"We will introduce a Law on the Judiciary, to change the rules, on the first day. So that there are more guarantees that the people who end up there will not turn out to be the next "lice", whose resignation we have requested from the Supreme Judicial Council. And people with morality, integrity, who will elect a new prosecutor general, who will not be Sarafov and Geshev, but a person who acts in the name of the law.", said the co-chairman of "Yes, Bulgaria"

Bozhidar Bozhanov: We are an opposition, not a loudmouth, not a petty one, but one that tries to keep things on the right track - 1

We will be an opposition, because that's what the Bulgarian voters said, said the co-chairman of "Yes, Bulgaria" Bozhidar Bozhanov in "From the Day" on BNT.

"We are an opposition, not a loudmouth, not a petty one, but one that tries to keep things on the right track. Because when you have an absolute majority, the temptations to abuse power, to take this conquered country, the tools and use them supposedly for good purposes, are many. So the role of the opposition is not to move from the Peevski-Borisov model to some other model, slightly modified. And to really become a legal state with the rule of law and the talks about politics are really talks about politics, not who is holding what with folders and compromising materials", the co-chair of "Yes, Bulgaria" also commented. He pointed out that the PP-DB will be involved in the election of the Supreme Judicial Council, the new inspectorate to the SJC, because a lot of checks need to be made on Sarafov's property, the property of the people in the prosecutor's office, all the dwarves, starting with Sarafov, but not ending with him. Bozanov added that so far there have been no talks with "Progressive Bulgaria" on this topic.

"We will introduce a Law on the Judiciary, to change the rules, on the first day. So that there are more guarantees that the people who end up there will not turn out to be the next "lice" whose resignation we have requested from the Supreme Judicial Council. And people with morality, integrity, who will elect a new prosecutor general, who will not be Sarafov and Geshev, but a person who acts in the name of the law.", Bozanov also said. And he said that Borislav Sarafov resigned at the will of the Bulgarian voters.

"Because Sarafov was holding this post at the moment not at the will of the law, because today he is an illegal prosecutor general, not at the will of the court, because the court said that he is not a legal prosecutor general. He was there solely at the will of Peevski and his influence in the various authorities. Voters gave 160 votes to parties outside GERB and MRF, which maintained the previous model. And in this sense, citizens expelled Sarafov.", Bojanov also commented.

Regarding the results of the April 19 elections, he added that PP-DB are the only parties represented in parliament so far that have increased their results - by 60,000 more, but they have clearly failed to convince voters that they can successfully dismantle the Borisov-Peevski model.

As a problem, Bojanov even pointed out different colors and slogans of the formations in the coalition, as well as the arrangement of the lists.

"There remains a feeling that voters have appreciated that we are not the ones to trust. We need to improve this. We need to find the intersections, improve them. And, for example, to finally have a coalition agreement. Because, maybe you don't know, but we don't actually have a coalition agreement. Which would regulate information for decision-making and all kinds of such parameters, joint headquarters. This is perhaps the first step in introducing more coherence into the coalition."
