Due to warming weather and the continuation of the trend for high average daily temperatures, “Toplofikatsiya Sofia“ will begin a phased shutdown of heating from Monday.
According to data from the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology, temperatures are expected to rise and approach the climatic norm by the end of next week.
Residents of apartment buildings who wish to extend the heating season may submit an application for this, which must be accompanied by a decision of the General Assembly. Commercial buildings, kindergartens, schools and hospitals can also request an extension of the heating season.
All share distribution companies have been notified and are ready to launch the new reporting campaign for the 2025-2026 heating season. Information about the schedules will be provided to consumers by the relevant heat accountant.
For customers served by “Toplofikatsiya Sofia“ EAD as a heat accountant, the reporting of the metering devices will start from May 5, 2026. The schedule with the specific dates for each building will be published after April 27, 2026.
Within the reporting period, access should be provided to all dwellings, including apartments in which the heating units are not used or have been dismantled. The inspection and report of all appliances and hot water meters will enable the heating accountants to prepare the balancing accounts correctly and on time, without having to be reworked repeatedly due to later reports in individual homes.
In the event that access to the property cannot be provided on the two announced free dates, customers have the opportunity to contact their heating accountant and request an additional date for an individual report. The service is paid according to the price list of the respective share distribution company.
