After yesterday I and many other citizens reacted to the municipality's threat to punish children's birthday parties in the park that did not post a special notice, today Vasil Terziev came out with a comprehensive justification, in which he says in a few words that although not immediately, it is actually exactly so. The municipality will start fining unregulated birthday parties in the parks (and cyclists on the alleys) in the future, but that was right, that's the regulation and there should be order.
With this answer, Terziev shows that he actually didn't understand the criticism at all, so I will explain it to him simply, respectfully and without nagging or unnecessary witticisms.
Mr. Mayor,
You yourself often claim that the resources of the municipality, municipal police and inspectorates are limited and therefore you cannot "give light everywhere". It is precisely based on your statements that we criticize your decision to direct this limited resource to things that may indeed be unregulated, but are extremely trivial as a problem, against the background of everything else that our city is drowning in.
The center of Sofia has filled up with illegal migrants, especially Afghans, who are already regularly throwing themselves on "Tsar Simeon".
Some time ago, I personally filmed an interview, which I will someday publish, with a "herb" and fentanyl dealer, who explained to me in plain text how drugs have spread en masse around schools. In the neighborhoods, they continue to burn rags soaked in chemicals, with which they can literally poison us. Graffiti writers have ruined the entire city. Peasants throw their garbage in the ditches, and freaks throw dogs out en masse. (when they are not being poisoned)
I could go on with the dozens of serious irregularities on the part of citizens that should be prosecuted with scarce municipal resources.
Because they make Sofia truly ugly, dirty and dangerous.
And this is precisely where yesterday's wave of discontent stems from, to which you are responding today: no, we are not saying that it is okay not to follow the regulations for parties in the park or cycling on the alleys. We are not against order. We are simply saying that there are many times more pressing problems to which you should direct our scarce municipal resources, which we have entrusted to you as taxpayers.
And as such, we have the full right to an opinion on how to use them in order of priority.
Besides, until the truly dangerous and harmful violations are resolved, we will somehow survive the noisy children's parties in the park.
